GET MSCA fellows in Madrid Week of Science and Innovation 2020
The Week of Science and Innovation of Madrid is one of the most important events for scientific dissemination in Europe. Its objective is to bring science and technology to citizens, especially young people, to promote scientific vocations, entrepreneurship and creativity, eliminating gender barriers. It welcomes more than 600 institutions with an offer that exceeds 1,000 free activities for all audiences and involves 3,000 scientists. The Week of Science and Innovation is organized by madri+d and offers the public the opportunity to learn about the work of scientists, their research, motivations and efforts. It allows society to know the latest advances in science.
This year the Week of Science and Innovation will take place from November 2 to 15, 2020
Got Energy Talent fellows will be participating with different activities, bringing their research closer to the broad public:
- Food waste, turning a problem into benefits – Residuos de la industria alimentaria, de un problema ambiental a múltiples beneficios, with the participation of María del Prado García Aparicio. Through this activity, we will lear how to make profit and take the most out of our good waste in a sustainable way.
- Science+History – Ciencia+Historia, where Sabino Armenise will guide university students in the importance of the storytelling for communicating science and enticing your audience.
- What is the value of my plastic waste? – ¿Cuánto valen mis residuos plásticos?, with the participation of Syie Luing Wong and Sabino Armenise. Simulation of the activities taking place in a landfill for the management and treatment of plastic waste.
- Design of avanced MOFs mateiral to face social challenges – Diseño de materiales avanzados MOFs específicos para afrontar distintos retos sociales, organised by Sergio Carrasco Garrido. The activity will be an introduction and debate on the use of MOF materials for the capture and conversion of CO2, water harvesting in arid regions or biomedicine.
