II Farewell & networking event- GET MSCA Cofund
On 24 may 2022, after a long time without being able to meet face to face due to the pandemic, the Farewell and networking event of the MSCA-COFUND GOT ENERGY TALENT project gathered its key actors.
GET fellows, mentors and partnering organisations met to reflect on these years of hard work, high quality research, collaborations beyond academia, and professional and personal impact. The aim of this event was to highlight the value of the successes achieved, both individually and collectively, behind which there are stories of professional and personal growth and collaboration between academic, business and research institutions, as well as, before leaving for new directions, to bid farewell to the fellows finishing their MSCA fellowships. Times flies by and the following fellows have already ended their fellowship: Laura Collado, Luis Augusto Ballardini, María Ventura, Tabish Noori, Chizoba Ezugwu, Jens Peters, Juan Marcos Ramírez, Ajitanshu Verdtnam, Li Yang, María del Prado García Aparicio, Sergio Carrasco-Garrido and Francesco Rovense. Sabino Armenise and Daniel Wuebben will also finish during June 2022.
Mentors and mentees (Valentina Sessini and Marta Elena González, Daniel Wuebben and Manuel Gertrudix, Yang Li and Roberto Gomez, Sergii Lukin and Maria Pilar Jarabo) had the opportunity to reflect on their partnership, with the contribution of Xavier Eekhout ( Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología, FECYT), who highlighted some valuable lessons and tips from the REBECA Mentoring Programme. The final round table with Manuel Romero (Deputy director, IMDEA Energía), Carlos A. Prieto (Coordinator of the Operational Excellence Department, Cepsa Research Center) and two GET fellows, Sabino Armenise and Sergio Carrasco-Garrido, closed the session discussing findings and daily challenges of bridging research at academia and its practical development in other institutions.
We wish all the best in their career to the GET fellows that are finishing their fellowships in the frame of the MSCA-COFUND Got Energy Talent programme!
